JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAMS

The Shriver Golf Academy puts a big emphasis on its Junior Golf Program through many different types of instructional programs, camps, play with the pros after school programs, and much more. Instructors Pat and Bill Shriver, PGA and Chris Ardolina, PGA are award-winning golf instructors known for their work with adults and juniors of all skill levels. Chris Ardolina, who was recently named one of the “Best Young Teachers in America” by Golf Digest, will begin a new series of Junior Golf Programs for the 2024 spring and summer months. 

SATURDAY JUNIOR CLASSES

These junior clinics are designed for newer and intermediate level junior golfers ages 7-13. They will take place on every other Saturday for 16 weeks starting February 3 and ending May 11.

Time: 5-6pm

Cost: $200 for all 8 classes

$30 per class

JUNIOR TOURNAMENT PREP

The tournament prep program is open to juniors who currently play or have a desire to play tournament golf. (Intermediate and advanced players) The goal for the program is to refine players’ skills and prepare them for upcoming tournaments. Each class will take players through various skill building exercises, competitions, and on course practices.

Wednesdays from 6-7:30

Cost: $399

9 Weeks of class:

March- 20, 27

April- 3,10,17, 24

May- 1, 8, 15

ages 7-12 and ages 13-17 welcome

COVE CAY PGA JUNIOR LEAGUE TEAM

The Cove Cay junior league team is open to the public so anyone can join. We invite both boys and girls of novice, intermediate and advanced abilities to participate. We will only have a 13U (age 13 and under) team this season. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

The 2023 Cove Cay All Stars, PGA Junior League Team, finished tied for first place in their league this summer with a record of 6-1. Chris is incredibly proud of everyone!

SUMMER CAMPS

The instructors at the Shriver Academy know how to make summers fun! We offer camps yearly in June and July and all sessions are held from 9am to 12pm. We have an indoor plan for extreme heat or rainy days so parents don’t have to worry about rescheduling due to weather. We’ll make sure all campers stay hydrated as Snacks and Drinks will be provided throughout the day. For sun safety, please make sure your son or daughter is wearing sunscreen.

We do have a Dress Code– boys and girls need to wear a Collard Shirt, Golf Shorts/Skirt, Sneakers and Hat.

THE SHRIVER ACADEMY INSTRUCTORS

Chris Ardolina teaches private lessons for Junior golfers, teaches the Saturday Group Clinic for Junior golfers, is the coach of our Cove Cay PGA Junior League Team and leads our Golf Summer Camp sessions at Cove Cay.  And Chris Ardolina is one of the top kids coaches in the United States! He was recently named one of Golf Digest’s “Best Young Teachers in America” and 2020 US Kids Top 50 Coach. He is the only kids coach in Pinellas County to be recognized as a US Kids Certified Coach and US Kids Top 50 Coach.
